Heart & Honey

parenting support for emotionally intense, neurodivergent, and overwhelmed families

You might be here because…

  • your child saves their biggest emotions for home

  • mornings, transitions, and routines feel exhausting

  • traditional parenting advice isn’t working for your family (and the parenting books aren’t either)

  • your child may have ADHD, sensory sensitivities, or emotional regulation challenges

  • you’re trying deeply to parent differently than how you were raised

  • you feel stuck in cycles of yelling, guilt, or overwhelm

  • you or your child are neurodivergent

  • your family feels loving, but constantly dysregulated

  • you know your child is struggling, but you’re struggling too

Hi, I’m Cass.

I’m a certified parenting educator, parent coach, and founder of Heart & Honey.

I support emotionally intense, neurodivergent, and overwhelmed families navigating ADHD, sensory overwhelm, big emotions and explosive behaviors, nervous system dysregulation, parenting across cultures and generations, and the burnout and shame that so often accompany modern family life.

My work blends conscious parenting, nervous-system awareness, attachment science, and practical real-life support to help parents move from constant reactivity and power struggles toward greater understanding, regulation, and connection.

Many of the families I work with are trying deeply to parent differently than they were raised — while also navigating the realities of ADHD, executive functioning challenges, sensory needs, emotional intensity, and modern family life. Many parents are also carrying their own overwhelm, sensory sensitivities, or neurodivergence while trying to support their children with greater intention and compassion.

Together, we look beneath behavior to better understand what children — and parents — may actually be communicating through aggression, shutdowns, power struggles, emotional dysregulation, or overwhelm.

This work is not about becoming a perfect parent. It’s about understanding what’s happening underneath the hard moments and building practical tools that support the whole family. It’s about learning how to:

  • respond instead of react

  • understand what’s underneath behavior

  • regulate ourselves alongside our children

  • repair after hard moments

  • create systems that support everyday family life

  • and build relationships rooted in connection, safety, and trust

I believe parenting is some of the most meaningful and demanding work we will ever do — and parents deserve support that is compassionate, nuanced, practical, and grounded in real life.

How We Work Together

*

How We Work Together *

Many parenting struggles are rooted in nervous system overwhelm, unmet needs, developmental differences, sensory challenges, executive functioning difficulties, or emotional dysregulation — not “bad behavior”.

Together, we look beneath the surface to better understand what’s happening in your child and your family system.

1) Understand What’s Beneath the Behavior

2) Support the Whole Family System

Children do not exist in isolation — and neither do parents.

My work supports families navigating:

  • ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • emotional intensity

  • sensory overwhelm

  • explosive behaviors

  • parent burnout

  • neurodivergent family systems

  • culturally complex or intergenerational parenting dynamics

We focus on creating more regulation, clarity, and connection for the whole family.

3) Build Practical, Real-Life Strategies

This work is not about perfect parenting.

It’s about learning practical tools that actually work in real life:

  • responding instead of reacting

  • reducing power struggles

  • navigating big emotions

  • setting boundaries with connection

  • repairing after hard moments

  • creating systems that support both parents and children

4) Move Forward Without Shame

Parents deserve support too.

At Heart & Honey, families are met with compassion, nuance, honesty, and practical guidance — without blame, judgement or impossible expectations.

FAQs

  • The authoritative parenting most of us were raised with creates a relationship of fear between parent and child that results in obedience and compliance in the short term. Long term, however, this creates a relationship of distrust, distance and disconnection.

Conscious parenting looks at empowering the parent with tools, skills and knowledge to achieve connection, cooperation and trust, without the fear that we were raised on. This way of parenting allows for communication and understanding and a long term closeness and connection with our children.

  • Definitely! If you are struggling to find consistency with how you parent, this is an excellent program for you. The work we do is parent-centric which means that regardless of where you stand now, we will help you reach a personalized place of connecting to your children in a way that makes sense for you and brings alignment to your home(s).

  • Absolutely not. Conscious parenting places a large emphasis on boundaries and natural consequences. We use empowered communication to state our needs and values in our homes and have courage to hold compassionate, but firm boundaries. In this way, discipline does not need to be punitive, but collaborative and creative solutions and opportunities emerge peacefully.

  • We believe in a model of parenting that focuses on the parent, not behavior modification of the child. However, we see that once we aid the parent in leadership skills, tools, and strategies, challenge behaviors typically diminish or disappear.

  • For 12 week sessions, it is one 60 minute call/in person meeting a week. In addition, there is about 1-2 hours a week of materials, video content and workbooks a week.

    For custom packages, please inquire.

  • First, you will tell me about you and your family so that I can get a better idea of what you are looking for and where you are at.

Next, I will explain my process and your options for working with me in a way that supports your life and schedule.

Then, if we feel we are a good fit, we will schedule your first call and deal with the logistics of getting you set up to receive weekly content.

What People Are Saying

  • Hailie says:

Doing this program with Cass was one of the most transformational experiences we’ve had as a family and as parents. Working with Cass opened a new world for us. A place where things make sense, an understanding of what is happening below the surface not only with our daughter but also within ourselves as parents and individuals! She has given us invaluable information and learnings to better understand the full science of where our daughter is at in her development process and what her mind, body and spirit need during it. Every conversation with her I just hang on every word she says. She is so intelligent, wise, and welcoming with how she teaches us and shows us this approach. Through this process we have become much more in tune with our own nervous system and behaviors which in turn has helped us build a deeper connection with each other as parents ultimately setting us up to be the most connected to our daughter than we’ve ever been. We will forever be turning to Cass as our guide through the many twists and turns of parenting.

Hands down the best decision we’ve ever made for our family.

  • Dante says:

Working with Cass has been very enlightening. Learning about attachment science, nervous system science and emotional intelligence has given me a new perspective on parenting, and the tools and real-life examples she helped us through made it possible to make adjustments and try new things in a smooth way. I can’t say enough about the positive impact she has made on us.

  • Mario says:

Don't usually write a review, but I thought Cassidy was sooo helpful that I want to share.

My wife and I did the 12 week program over Zoom and it's been a game-changer. The idea here is that parenting is more of a self-centric (and partner-centric) exercise; throughout the program, Cassidy was responsive, flexible and very empathetic.

What it does is give you a framework for how to make decisions about parenting. It fills in knowledge gaps around what our kids need. The content from Jai Institute for Parenting is good, but honestly it's Cassidy that makes the whole thing worthwhile.

If you're at the point where you're even exploring a "parenting coach" then working with Cassidy may be exactly what you're looking for.

  • Eric says:

Cassidy is very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly reccomend. We did all of our courses via zoom and it worked great.
